At the bedside of the moon

At the bedside of the moon,
poised between night and noon,
waits and watches, white-blond-curled,
eyes aglow – a little girl.

But the moon seems sound asleep,
in the dark of the night so deep,
never listens, turns a deaf
ear to every word she says.

In the darkness of its space
her worries echo from its face.

Through a crater landscape goes
the little girl, all snifflin´ nose,
sometimes stomping with a frown
yet the moon won´t turn around.

she sees a flicker on its face
